So what about today?
The day I have
The moment I have
Right now
But never again?
I pace.
Impatient with the chill in the air
And the low hanging clouds.
Closing me in.
Weighing me down.
Wrapping landscape
And life
In their greyness.
I pace.
Impatient with myself.
The trees outside my window wait.
Or ready themselves at a depth
And with a silence
I cannot see
And am not yet wise enough
To understand.
Reminding me
I still have so much to learn.

Have you ever published a book of your poems? Just wondering.
