For a few moments more the church is quiet.
I took advantage of the quiet to take a few minutes to sit in the sanctuary by myself with the lights lit on the trees.
To think and to remember and to pray.
I am grateful for Christmas.
For the beauty.
For the meaning.
For the promise and hope it holds out to us all.
This Christmas my family is flung far and wide
And so more than usual my Christmas prayers reach out as far as I can send them.
May the promise of Christmas fall heavily around each other their lives.
And, around the lives of all of the children of God.
Christmas blessing to one and all.
