As a part of my continuing reflection on what Jesus called the Kingdom of God,
I saw this in my reading and thought I would pass it along.
The late Biblical scholar, Marcus Borg, describes the Kingdom of God this way:
“It would be what life on earth would be like if God were in charge and others weren’t.
If God were King and Caesar wasn’t.”
The kingdom of God is like finding pennies on the ground.
Loose change litters our feet, but we usually pass by, never noticing.
Signs of God’s coming kingdom fall around us every day.
But we are often too preoccupied with the business of our busy lives to realize what we are missing.
