I don’t hardly know what to say
It’s not all right that the Speaker of the House of Representatives has to tear up a copy of the President’s speech as a protest against his misuse/abuse of power and his lies.
It’s not all right that Republicans express their outrage about that act, but remain silent about Rush Limbaugh receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The same medal given to Rosa Parks and Marian Wright Edelman and Colin Powell. Rush Limbaugh who has promoted racism and bigotry in ways which are hateful and wrong. And, if you or I did or said what he says and does we would lose our jobs. At least I would have lost mine.
It is not all right for the President of the United States to call other elected officials and leaders names and to insinuate retaliation.
It is not all right for the President to lie repeatedly with impunity and have some percentage of our representatives and our fellow citizens think that is okay.
It is not all right for the President to demean my faith just because I disagree with him.
It is not all right for Republican leadership to be complicit in all of it by their silence.
It is not all right.
It is not all right.
It is not all right.
So much is not all right.

February 6, 2020 at 6:43 pmPaul, thanks, I love your comments and always read them and am inspired by your words. I happened to be in DC yesterday at a conference, which only made the vote more disheartening. Agree with you thoughts and some suggestion for a few things we can do; work for candidates that are committed to the values of our country, vote and get others to vote in other parts of the country who are in “swing” states. This is the way to have our voices heard and defeat this man who has brought shame to the dignity of the office of the President. Sending love to you and Shodie. Patty

February 8, 2020 at 8:37 amHi Patty. I hope you are doing well. Shodie and I are slowly settling into a new community and into retirement. There has been more time to travel and to be with family which we have enjoyed. Those times are precious as you well know. Paul
