Time is funny isn’t it.
On one hand it is so even and so measured.
Seconds.
Minutes.
Hours.
Days.
Months.
Years upon years counted in eons and epochs.
On the other hand time is fluid.
Minutes creeping by when waiting for the report of the doctor.
Years compressed into a heartbeat when looking back on how quickly our children grew up.
Advent presents us with another concept of time when past and present and future somehow begin to overlap. What once was waits to be recognized again as present still and pulled into the moment we have right now. What will be waits to be noticed and named and lived in this moment we have.
