Today, O God
I ask for a rainbow.
Or something.
Some small sign that goodness will prevail.
And decency.
And compassion.
And kindness.
Some sign that the flood waters
And the chaos
Are not permanent.
That the harm we are doing
To each other
And to ourselves
Does not have
Will not have
The final word.
I ask for a rainbow, O God
Because all I see right now
Feel right now
Are the waves
Crashing around
And into
The leaky boat which is my life.
Our lives.

June 26, 2018 at 10:42 pmI always remember Jesus loves me to follow his way to eternal life.
The road may be hard…rocky…and he gave me free will to take the correct path.
I go to sleep with his love…..to awake in his glory of another day that he invites me to follow.
Let us all reach out to our neighbors and show them the “Glory of His Love for all of us
with the sign of the cross we can face whatever life will bring our way

June 29, 2018 at 7:30 amBeautiful poem. It perfectly captures how many of us are feeling right now.. I can only continue to trust and have faith that there is a greater plan for the awakening of America to its original self. I cannot create peace unless I hold peace and radiate that peace from my heart. Gandhi’s famous quote about change calls us to Be the Light that you want to see in the world. We are being called to “Be the Rainbow” for our own lives.
